Old Swinford Hospital school, Stourbridge

Old Swinford Hospital school was founded in 1667 by Thomas Foley, an ironmaster, intended to educate boys from poor families. It is now a very successful state maintained boarding school and 6th form college, one of only 37 in the country. Incredibly, there have only been six headmasters since 1882 and this no doubt contributes to the stability of the school. Back >>>
